Today's culture constantly urges us to acquire more. Work hard, to make money, to spend it on things that we want and desire. As stewards of the things that God gives us, we must ask the question: where am I investing my time, energy, and resources?
In this sermon on Matthew 6:19–24, Jesus contrasts fragile earthly riches with lasting eternal heavenly rewards. While material possessions are not inherently wrong, making them the anchor of our hope, joy, and peace can quietly turn our hearts away from God.
Pastor Maiola Vivas challenges us to look closely at what we treasure, reminding us that our daily choices reveal the real condition of our hearts. Jesus warns that it is impossible to divide our allegiance between God and wealth; we cannot serve two masters.
