Happy Mini Golf Day, everybody — apparently that’s a thing, and naturally The Rizzuto Show immediately turns it into a debate about whether playing mini golf alone is perfectly acceptable or one of the saddest activities a human being can voluntarily participate in.Rizz says mini golf is a social activity. Lern is ready to hit the windmill alone out of spite. Rafe wants a mini golf caddy who can professionally read the break on the clown nose. And Moon brings the evidence that completely destroys any chance of this conversation remaining normal.During a family mini golf trip in Alabama, Moon encountered a wildly dressed mystery man who showed up alone, appeared to be extremely high and started playing with an enormous multicolored ice cream cone in his hand. Unfortunately, mini golf courses don't provide cup holders for gigantic desserts, so our hero developed a system: set the ice cream directly on the ground, take the shot, pick it back up and continue eating.Concrete? Yep.Wood chips? Absolutely.By the time the man starts feeding ice cream to an ostrich, we’ve moved beyond mini golf and into a nature documentary that absolutely nobody authorized. That’s just the opening act of this comedy podcast, because the crew then tackles one of music’s most dangerous arguments: which albums are truly perfect from beginning to end with absolutely no skips?Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction. Green Day’s Dookie. Nas’ Illmatic. Metallica’s Black Album. Alice in Chains’ Dirt. Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill. Rage Against the Machine. Weezer’s Blue Album. Pearl Jam’s Ten. Soundgarden’s Superunknown. And plenty more get thrown into the musical Thunderdome while everybody attempts to prove their taste is objectively correct. You know, the healthiest possible way to discuss music. Then Crap on Celebrities arrives with enough entertainment news to give everyone emotional whiplash. The crew gets into concert cancellations, William Shatner fronting a heavy metal project at 95, Gnarls Barkley touring again, Sammy Hagar trying to move beyond being primarily associated with Van Halen, Calvin Harris performing for a ridiculous 1.6 million-person crowd and Kenny Loggins getting married. There are also much heavier stories as the show discusses losses in the music world, troubling news involving Carrot Top and concerns surrounding other public figures. Rafe talks about the darker side of comedy, the “sad clown” reality behind performers and how someone can appear completely fine while dealing with something much more serious underneath.Thankfully, there’s some good news mixed in, including Snooki announcing she’s cancer-free, before the celebrity train gets moving again with Burt Reynolds stories, George Lucas’ massive museum and Spotify’s most-streamed artists, songs and podcasts. And then…Florida.Sweet, beautiful, deeply confusing Florida. The show has three stories for another round of “What’s Going On in Florida?” and somehow each one makes the previous story seem slightly more reasonable. There are allegations involving a woman and the family dog, a domestic disturbance that leads to an absolutely horrifying family confession, and finally an argument over farting in bed that escalates into a felony assault. At one point, Rizz is forced to acknowledge that maybe Florida really is crazy everywhere — which is inconvenient considering he still wants to move there. But hey, he just wants to live near the water.Apparently the insanity is the waterfront tax. From solo putt-putt and dirt-seasoned ice cream to perfect albums, celebrity news and Florida once again enthusiastically volunteering to provide the weirdest stories of the day, this comedy podcast has everything you need to feel significantly better about whatever questionable decisions you’ve made lately.Because no matter how weird your morning gets, somebody somewhere is feeding wood-chip-covered ice cream to an ostrich at a mini golf course. And that person is winning.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
