- The tenant who signed the lease for the Locket Road rental used the name Diane Cross and paid four months' rent in cash with a disconnected phone number.
- Erin Fleming had a quarter-sized black compass rose tattoo on the inside of her left wrist; her co-defendant Patrick Seel had a matching tattoo in the same place.
- A document broker later sentenced to eight years in federal custody in Kentucky admitted designing parameters for false identities used across at least eleven aliases during the fugitive period.
