あらすじ・解説

Anjuri Bhar is an eight-part story series, written with such sensitivity and sincerity that the listener identifies her/his shadow in each protagonist or relates to the story as being of someone she/he knows. The protagonists, through their pains, joys and daily struggles, keep listeners engaged and bound to the story lines throughout. Besides being of a high literary calibre, the language used in each story is simple, easy to comprehend and entertaining. While each story is riveting in its own way, each story forces the listener to ruminate on and digest itself. 

Prem Gupta 'Maani', who started her writing career in the 1980s, has written eight story anthologies. A trained Kathak dancer, having trained under Vayjanti Maala, Maani nurtured a dream of having a career in stage performances, but life had other plans for her. Known for writing from the perspetive of a common person, Anjuri Bhar is Maani's ninth anthology of stories.
