A mystical object brings the CIA, Mossad, crime syndicates, and the Holy Roman Church into conflict. A father and son get caught in the middle as forces collide.
Ian Reed, a former Philadelphia police officer, moves his family to a small lakeside community in western Maryland to look after his father and the family marina. Otter, Ian’s father, who’s struggling with Alzheimer’s reveals an ancient artifact he’s kept hidden for years.
After his home health aide posts a picture of it on Facebook, Otter’s secret gets out and draws international attention. Powerful people believe it to be a mythological object from ancient Roman times, once held by Constantine the Great…a legendary relic of great supernatural power and religious importance. When Otter and the artifact disappear, Ian is in a panic, not knowing if his father was kidnapped or simply wandered off.
One party, determined to possess the artifact by any means, arrives in Maryland, and the Reed family’s tenuous situation becomes much worse. The pursuit crisscrosses Europe through Italy, Spain, and Slovakia.
From the painstaking detail of art and archeology to gunfights from helicopters and yachts, the pace this high-stakes adventure will keep you listening.
