Like a colourful mosaic, the author describes life in South Africa from the viewpoint of different cultures and characters. As a keen observer of human nature, she invites her listeners to become part of real-life issues by visiting the characters behind the scenes, often shocking them with open and honest dialogue about unusual situations.
Sharing experiences in a government hospital, one real and another fictional, and a matric dance where a man reluctantly takes his gardener's son to his matric dance in his sports car, Mandy and her Friends reveal the shocking reality of what life is like living with a drug addict. These modern-day topics are unfamiliar ground and will captivate everybody who is a student of life in a diverse country.
