The book begins by speaking of common ailments of the heart and how they affect us, similar to how an illness affects the body. It continues by explaining ways to cure these afflictions, breaking them down into smaller parts for easier analysis. Furthermore, it introduces the Quran and reviews the correct actions that will heal the heart. The Quran is likened to a banquet: a feast prepared by God that Ibn Taymiyyah welcomes us to share with him. The book is beautifully written and explains each idea thoroughly.
