Andrew Taylor, an amateur sailor, taking part in the 9th Clipper round the world yacht race, aboard the 70' ocean racing yacht 'Derry LondonDerry Doire', is lost overboard, totally alone and lost in the ice cold North Pacific for almost two hours.
In the midst of a violent storm, almost 2,000 miles from the nearest land. With the exception of other racing yachts taking part in the same race, all of whom were over an hour away, no other vessels were within 1,000 miles.
This is an epic story of team spirit, survival against the odds, and a heroic recovery & return to ocean racing. With contributions from Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, members of the crew on board and the shore based search & rescue coordination teams.
