One September morning, Doug accidentally runs right into another surfer on the beach. There are rules about these things. The other guy should call Doug a jerk, Doug should say, "my bad", and they should both paddle back out and move on. Problem is, the other surfer doesn't want to move on. He wants to fight. And for once in his life, Doug wants to fight back.

Tommy Lee is a rising star of pro-rodeo saddle bronc riding when he wonders if he should trade in his fame and fortune in the rodeo scene for an honest job on the T6 Ranch, punching cows. Following a series of accidents that threatens the chain of command on the T6 Ranch, Tommy Lee finds himself saddled with more responsibility than his young shoulders have ever borne. In this creative retelling of the parable of the Prodigal Son, the youngest son, Wander, was willing to give up everything for his independence—including a relationship with his father and brother Goodness. With his father's cash in hand, he left for the alluring towns of Perfection, Prosperity, and Popularity. Each new town brought a brief sense of happiness, but eventually, as the excitement wore off, he was overcome by a deepening sense of emptiness. It was then that Wander remembered his father's words.
