Hedgehog is waiting for his friend Tortoise to wake up. Hedgehog's friends are all very lovely, but they just aren't as much fun at the beach, or at hide-and-seek, or at holding hands, or at hugs. Tortoise has been dreaming of Hedgehog. And the hug that follows is their best yet!

Uncle Bart reckons humans don't hate cane toads, but Limpy knows they do. He's spotted the signs. The cross looks. The unkind comments. The way they squash cane toads with their cars. Limpy is desperate to save his family from ending up as placemats. Somehow he must make humans see how nice cane toads really are.

'Ouch,' said Limpy. 'Why's my back hurting?' A horrible thought hit him. Perhaps it was a fork wound. Perhaps while he was unconscious the human had tried to eat him. He looked around. 'Stack me,' said Limpy. All he could see was blue plastic. Limpy's on a quest to find toad heaven. A place where cane toads won't be blown up with bike pumps or bashed over the head with folding chairs. Limpy's determined to find this place if it takes the rest of his life. But first he has to get out of the bucket.

Tortoise is not having a good day, and now he's stuck in a hole and is far too upset for hugs. Hedgehog sits and waits and then makes Tortoise laugh – taking the time to let the moment pass, and acknowledge how Tortoise feels.

Hedgehog and Tortoise were the best of friends. They wanted to give each other a great big hug. But they weren't allowed to touch. 'Don't worry,' said Owl. 'There are lots of ways to show someone you love them.' So the two friends wave to each other, blow kisses, sing songs, dance around and write letters. And even though they can't hug and they can't touch, they both know that they are loved.

A hedgehog and a tortoise are both looking for a hug. They ask all the other animals they come across but for some reason no one will hug them. Until a wise owl explains: Hedgehog is too spiky; Tortoise is too bony. And that's when they find each other!

Manu has an action-packed day ahead, and Dad reminds him that even busy crocodiles need to use the toilet at day care. Can this energetic crocodile find the time to use the loo and show off his best moves at the afternoon dance party?

Zeke and Daniel have just been made hall monitors by Principal Wombat. This has nothing to do with the fact that they are monitor lizards. And never mind the fact Alicia, the only other monitor lizard in the school, is also a hall monitor. Somehow, the three hall monitors must impose order on arrogant lions, excitable seals and super-relaxed pandas. And worst of all, there is Pelicarnassus! A pompous giant pelican and the son of a major supervillain, who inexplicably has it out for the lizards.

The bear has organised a picnic on the river for his friends. It's the perfect day and everything is going swimmingly until they are disturbed by a loud croaking noise from among the lily pads. It's the frogs! They want to join in, but the friends don't fancy putting up with the noise, so they move on to a quieter part of the lake. Unfortunately, they soon find themselves in a spot of bother, and only the frogs can help them!

When Daniel arrives at the school bus stop sporting a salmon-coloured hat, Zeke is shocked. Don’t only birds wear hats? As if this isn’t strange enough, the school suddenly has a new student – a fish of all things – and a mysterious new Guidance Counsellor. Meanwhile, Zeke’s friends seem to have ditched him, and even his old nemesis won't give him the time of day. So when somebody melts his house with the Death Ray of Death – twice – Zeke has had enough. Just who is sabotaging his life – and why?
