Les tzaristes contrôlent plus de la moitié de la Dakyrie, et mettent en place leur Nouvel Ordre sans attendre. Tandis que les recherches progressent à Kurina, les alliances se font et se défont, au gré des humeurs et des secrets éventés. Mais lorsqu'Aliska est attaquée, la démocratie vacille.

Après la prise de Tavaly, les tzaristes ont peu à peu conquis l'est de la Dakyrie. Ils réinstaurent l'esclavage et la dictature. Tandis que l'armée recule, les dissidents profitent du chaos et attaquent par l'ouest de la province. Les deux groupes unissent ensuite leurs forces, et les combats se rapprochent d'Aliska, capitale d'Alaskand, et siège du gouvernement. Mis à mal par les opposants, le gouvernement prend des décisions contestables, et les citoyens réagissent. Les forces en présence se dévoilent peu à peu, et les ennuis ne viennent pas toujours du côté où on les attend.

Dans l'épisode précédent, le Nouvel Ordre Tzariste a pris Tavaly.
