The following is a reading of President Adams' inaugural address delivered on March 04, 1797.

In August 1824, Lafayete arrived in New York City for what became his final goodwill tour of America. Throughout his thirteen-month trip, a tapestry of parades, banquets, concerts, and public honors unfolded, befitting the last surviving major general of the American Revolution. Thomas Jefferson (April 13, 1743 - July 4, 1826) was an American Founding Father who served as the third president of the United States from 1801 to 1809. He was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence. He grew up in the '60s, with memories of community parades, men and women on horseback carrying flags of his home state of Texas and the United States, and all the riders proudly wearing red, white, and blue. Patriotic music played in the background while onlookers ate hot dogs and cotton candy cheering on the participants.
