We are now in a time where the next generation (Generation Alpha) are just now old enough to enter student ministries. And just as we have seen a need for how to effectively reach millennials and Generation Z, Generation Alpha has their own unique needs. They are a generation raised exclusively in the technological age, where the decisions they make today can potentially follow them into adulthood.

Ministers want and need to navigate the tension between being highly motivated and terminally driven. Far too many pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders quit or coast because they have failed to discern between denying themselves and neglecting themselves. We all need rest, which is why God has generously sewn it into the fabric of our schedules already—the gift of Sabbath. Sabbath is not meant to slow us down; rather, it is meant to stop us for short periods for rest and refueling.

Being single does not mean that something is wrong. Singleness is not a problem that needs to be fixed. And yet, for so long, it has been treated that way. In the past, many churches have felt that the only way to include a single person into the fold of the church is to just get them married.
