Küken Pips macht sich Sorgen, denn irgendetwas stimmt nicht mit ihrer Tante Babette d’Omelette. Seit Tagen frisst das lebenslustige Huhn nicht mehr und starrt nur noch vor sich hin. Für Fabi Fuchs ist klar: Babette ist nicht krank - sie ist einsam! Zwar hat sie jede Menge Kolleginnen, doch was ihr fehlt, ist ein Hahn. Leider ist weit und breit keiner zu finden. Als Fabi und seine Freunde noch überlegen, was zu tun ist, herrscht plötzlich helle Aufregung im Wald. Angeblich gibt es einen neuen Star im Wildgehege und den wollen alle sehen.

Auf einem Streifzug durch den Wald stehen Fabi Fuchs und Polly, die Eichhörnchendame, plötzlich vor einem Zaun, hinter dem sie eine ganze Gruppe von fremden Tieren entdecken. Die beiden Freunde sind sich sicher, dass diese Tiere dort gefangen gehalten werden und es jetzt an ihnen liegt, sie zu befreien. Als es Fabi endlich gelingt, das Schloss zu knacken, muss er feststellen, dass seine Rettungsaktion auf wenig Begeisterung stößt. Er und Polly sind nämlich in ein Wildgehege eingebrochen und die dort lebenden Tiere nicht gerade erpicht auf den unerwarteten Besuch.

Fabi Fuchs und seine Freunde Polly, Pips und Hendrix sind wieder einmal gemeinsam im Wald unterwegs. Da hören sie plötzlich aus dem Inneren eines alten Baumes ein merkwürdiges Geräusch. "Huhu" macht es - und das findet vor allem Eichhörnchendame Polly ziemlich unheimlich. Aber Gespenster am hellichten Tag? Kann das denn sein? Das neue Abenteuer von Fabi und seinen Freunden zeigt, dass man sich manchmal vor Dingen fürchtet, die eigentlich das Gegenteil von gruselig sind.

Die kleine Eichhörnchendame Polly, macht sich Sorgen um ihren Freund, den Rock-Dachs Hendrix. Der ist ganz geknickt, weil er so gern ein Konzert geben würde, aber seine Gitarre für den ganzen Wald zu laut ist. Selbst der schlaue Fuchs Fabi scheint für dieses Problem keine Lösung zu haben. Doch dann begegnen die Freunde am Wasserfall Ringo dem Rotkehlchen und seinem Chor... In dieser Folge darf Hendrix endlich mal zeigen, dass wirklich ein Rockstar in ihm steckt!

Fabi Fuchs und seine Freundin, die Eichhörnchendame Polly, sind mit Hilfe von Pips, dem Küken, aus dem Hühnerwagen entkommen. Jetzt müssen sie nur noch den Weg zurück in ihren Wald finden, aber zum Glück hat Pips einen untrüglichen Orientierungssinn. Das behauptet sie zumindest... Natürlich bleibt auf ihrem langen Weg das ein oder andere Abenteuer nicht aus und so machen die drei ein paar interessante Bekanntschaften.

Fabi und Polly wollen endlich herausfinden, wie die Welt außerhalb ihres Waldes aussieht. Am Waldrand entdecken sie eine wunderschöne, große Wiese voller Blaubeersträucher. Und dort steht auch ein komisches blaues Haus auf Rädern. Natürlich sind der kleine Fuchs und die Eichhörnchendame neugierig, wer wohl darin wohnt. Sind das etwa Hühner? In der dritten Folge machen Fabi und Polly ein paar interessante Bekanntschaften und eine von diese schließt sich den beiden sogar an. Aller guten Dinge sind eben drei - das gilt auch für Freunde.

Als Fabi Fuchs am frühen Morgen durch den Wald streift, ist er eigentlich auf der Suche nach einem Geburtstagsgeschenk für seine neue beste Freundin, die Eichhörnchen-Dame Polly.
