Many people think they are Christians. But what if they're mistaken? Jesus once gave a warning that still unsettles us today: "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord…' and I will declare to them, 'I never knew you.'" In a culture where Christianity is familiar, it is easy to assume we understand what it means to follow Jesus. Church attendance, good morals, religious traditions, or simply believing in God can all feel like enough.
