Let's be honest, listening to a sermon or even reading commentary of Scripture is SO much easier than actually reading Scripture. I didn't understand the need for reading Scripture daily until God showed me the false teachers in the world today. We ought to know what Christianity really is, most importantly, what the Bible says it is. Not simply believing whatever our pastors tell us and "following our hearts".
