This Week at Box Church: Living for God in a World That Doesn’t Understand

Pastor Andy led us through a powerful discussion from 1 Peter 4, reminding us that following Jesus means leaving behind our old ways—and sometimes, facing rejection for it. We talked about how your transformed life might make others uncomfortable, but those moments of criticism or mockery are actually opportunities to share the love of Christ.

From personal stories to biblical truth, this week’s message encouraged us to respond with grace, humor, and boldness when our faith is challenged. If people see a change in you, that’s not a bad thing—it’s proof that God is at work.

We also closed with a timely word for Father’s Day: honor your dad, love your spouse, and build the kind of home God is calling you to lead.

Sunday’s Box Church Gathering was full of powerful truth and heartfelt discussion. Sean Blevins led the conversation, tackling tough questions around slavery in Scripture, the fear of God, and what it really means to live as an example of Christ in a world full of division. From honoring God through submission to understanding the difference between worldly fear and holy reverence, this week’s gathering reminded us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom—and that every person, even the hardest to love, is made in His image.

Let’s continue being the example, not the excuse.
