The current job market is so awful, I don't even know what to say about it. I see news segments on college grads not even being able to score interviews. More seasoned people, especially in tech and HR, seem to be struggling to find employment, often unemployed for 12 or 18 month stretches they never expected. Filling your dance card with gigs only gets in the way of finding something more meaningful. We can't make ends meet. We're underemployed.
The two biggest non-material things that affect your day-to-day satisfaction in life are what you do with your time (and that may or may not affect your material satisfaction) and whom with we spend that time.
