Today’s dinner plates are noticeably larger than the ones families used in the 1960s. Drinks, meals, houses, entertainment, and even cruise ships have grown too, yet the change happened so gradually that bigger now feels completely normal.
More food and more choices can look like abundance, but they do not always leave us satisfied. When everything around us keeps expanding, how do we remember what enough actually feels like?
Scripture (NIV): Proverbs 25:16 – “If you find honey, eat just enough—too much of it, and you will vomit.”
Reflection Questions:
Where has “more” quietly become normal in your life?
What might you gain by choosing enough instead?
