Understanding God as Judge is foundational to the gospel and our salvation.

The concept of cherem—total destruction—wasn't arbitrary or nationalistic. It was God's righteous judgment against persistent rebellion. Today, we explore how free choice determined destiny: Rahab chose God and lived. Achan chose rebellion and died. The Canaanites could have submitted but chose defiance. This reveals a profound truth: no one is locked into their fate. We can move from one side to the other. Our choices have eternal consequences.

Before we judge God's actions in Joshua, we must understand what the Canaanites were actually doing. Child sacrifice. Ritual prostitution. Demonic worship.
