As we reflect on the impact this talk has had in our own lives, we recognize the daily opportunities we have to teach gospel principles—not only to our children, but also through the lessons our children teach us.

Sister Beck reminds us:

“When mothers know who they are and who God is and have made covenants with Him, they will have great power and influence for good on their children.”

As we grow into the role of motherhood, we’re reminded to give ourselves grace. We recognize the eternal value of this role and the honor it is to be entrusted with it.

Elder Eyring teaches that the way we choose to serve the Lord today shapes the strength we’ll have for tomorrow. He reminds us:

“Hard as things seem today, they will be better in the next day if you choose to serve the Lord this day with your whole heart… He suffered your infirmities and your sorrows when He was in the flesh so that He would know how to succor you.”

This message encourages us not to fall into the mindset that we’ll always have another day to give our best. Repenting and serving today matters. Each day is a gift—and an opportunity to draw closer to the Savior and receive the help He is ready to give.
