God was still saying I will live among you when the people at the foot of the mountain started bowing to something they'd made an hour before.

Forty days. That's all it took after they swore they'd follow God alone. And maybe you know that speed. You meant the promise. You meant it with everything in you. And you broke it inside of a week.
