DECLARE LIGHT: You Have Need of Patience In this week’s DECLARE LIGHT Prophetic Prayer Session with Chimdi Ohahuna, we are anchored in a powerful and often-overlooked truth from Hebrews 10:36: “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Before we celebrate the great declaration of faith in Hebrews 11:1, we must understand the foundation laid in Hebrews 10: faith requires steadfastness. This episode takes a deep look at the Greek word hupomonē, translated as patience. It speaks of steadfastness, constancy, endurance, and the determination to remain faithful to God’s purpose even in the face of trials, suffering, delays, and pressure. We examine why patience is not a passive virtue but a necessity for every believer. It is possible to do the will of God and still become discouraged when the promise does not manifest immediately. The missing link may not be faith—it may be patience. This session challenges us to remain constant in our faith, consistent in our convictions, and enduring in seasons of testing. Through the “money test,” “time test,” “integrity test,” “loyalty test,” and “leadership test,” we are reminded that our steadfastness is revealed under pressure. Most importantly, this week’s prophetic prayers declare that we will receive and maximize the grace to be patient. We will not abandon God’s will because of temporary trials. We will remain steadfast, constant, and enduring, until we see the manifestation of God’s promises in our lives. Go forth this week testifying, and come back testifying.
