You cannot continue living your life with a blindfold on, pretending that if you can't see something, it's not happening. That means no more running from your emotions nor using methods to numb your feelings. Emotions are intense but every curse is a gift. Your emotions are a roadmap to your heart and your happiness. Most people don't want to hear what every ounce of their being is telling them so they decide to run. Eventually you'll win, right? Emotions can no doubt, suck sometimes, but that is the only way we grow, heal, and learn to love unconditionally. If someone or something triggers an emotion inside of you, the only way through is feeling it. Ask why you feel it and instead of acting on the emotion, just sit with it. Embrace your darkness, embrace your light. It's so easy to ride the highs of life that we try to avoid the lows at every cost. You must first feel the low to embrace the high or that high will become a normal feeling and lose all of its touch. What happened in your past, that triggers this emotion?
