Head over Heels makes both Elle and Maddie’s top dramas of the year and for good reason. It’s such the perfect mix of fantasy, romance (alllll the tvn stills!!!!), and comedy. It’s just straight up a great kdrama. It had us feeling everything, swooning, laughing, and googling pictures of Choo Young-woo (bless up).

Maddie & Christina are here to review Our Unwritten Seoul! Maddie FINALLY decided to watch this amazing drama, and Christina couldn’t be more thrilled. This drama is definitely “Christina-coded” and could be her drama of the year. WHAT?!

Our Unwritten Seoul is about two twins, Mi-Ji & Mi-Jae (Park Bo-young – Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Daily Dose of Sunshine), who are complete opposites. Mi-Jae works a finance job in Seoul, while Mi-Ji continues to live in their farming hometown, helping her family and doing a myriad of jobs. Both women are in a rut and need time apart from their current situations, so they end up switching places temporarily.

In this review, the ladies talk about how beautiful the writing is, how amazing the women characters are, and how the two male leads (Jinyoung – GOT7, Yumi’s Cells & Ryu Kyung-soo – Itaewon Class) are some of the BIGGEST GREEN FLAGS in the history of green flags. Elle and Christina are back again for a midway review of She Was Pretty! So much has happened in the past six episodes!!

Hye-Jin and Seong-Joon are really getting to know each other during these episodes, and the girls are SWOONING HARD. They loved the trip trope scenes (is it one of Christina’s favorite trip tropes now?!?!) and absolutely love seeing Seong-Joon fall hard for Hye-Jin—without even realizing it.

Hye-Jin’s bestie, Ha-Ri, is really getting on the girls’ nerves because she keeps lying to her. And… the second male lead? Elle and Christina still find him annoying (only time will tell)!

It’s time for the next Throwback Drama! Elle and Christina are doing She Was Pretty with Hwang Jung-Eum and Park Seo Joon as the leads!

She Was Pretty is a romantic comedy K-drama that tells the story of childhood sweethearts who reunite as adults – but with a twist. As kids, Kim Hye-Jin (Hwang Jung-Eum) was a confident, sweet girl, and Ji Sung-Joon (Park Seo Joon) was a shy boy who lacked confidence. As adults, Hye-Jin is insecure about her looks, and Sung-Joon has grown into a successful editor. Hye-Jin ends up working under Sung-Joon as her boss, and he doesn’t recognize her.

In this Through Two, Elle and Christina go over the first two episodes. They discuss the leads and what they predict will happen as the show goes on. One thing’s for sure: they aren’t super thrilled with Park Seo Joon’s character and how he treats the female lead (as of right now).
