Tonight’s WWE Raw was fine overall, but the Braun Breakker segment missed the mark in a big way.

Braun Breakker is supposed to be unhinged. He’s supposed to be dangerous. He’s supposed to be the guy that even authority figures fear. Instead, we got Adam Pearce yelling in his face, standing his ground, and walking away like nothing happened. Braun barely put his hands on him… and then just let go.

That makes Braun look weak. Period.

When you present a character as a monster, you can’t suddenly have him show restraint for no reason. If Braun snaps, he should SNAP. The segment should’ve ended with chaos, not Adam Pearce scolding him like a child.

There were good things on Raw. **Gunther vs AJ Styles delivered exactly what you’d expect, and Raquel Rodriguez looked like a legitimate force again. But the Braun Breakker moment stands out because it actively hurt his momentum.

If WWE wants Braun to be a future main-event monster, they need to stop pulling punches and let him be exactly what he’s supposed to be.

⚠️ WARNING: SPOILERS IN THIS DESCRIPTION ⚠️

If you watched SmackDown early today, especially in Germany, then you already know this was not a normal episode — this show was wild.

This episode of WWE SmackDown felt like one of those rare nights where WWE actually pulled the trigger and fully committed to the moment. The biggest shock of the night was Drew McIntyre winning the WWE Championship, finally capturing the title again in a moment that honestly didn’t feel predictable at all.

Just when it felt like the dust might settle, chaos immediately followed. Jacob Fatu showing up and attacking Drew McIntyre completely flipped the mood and added another layer to what should’ve been a celebration. Instead of a feel-good ending, SmackDown closed with tension, uncertainty, and a very clear message that Drew’s reign is already under threat.

On the other side of the title change, Cody Rhodes losing the WWE Championship felt surreal. Whether you loved it or hated it, this was a bold decision that immediately reshapes SmackDown heading into the Berlin show, and it raises massive questions about where Cody goes from here.

Beyond the title scene, this episode was stacked. Trick Williams confronting Randy Orton was one of those moments that made you stop and really pay attention, and Carmelo Hayes continues to look like a star every time he’s given the spotlight. Even the smaller appearances and segments felt intentional, which made the whole show flow better than usual.

This was a SmackDown that actually felt consequential. Championships changed, directions shifted, and multiple stories took a sharp turn forward. Love it or hate it, this is the kind of episode people are going to be talking about for a while.

This is basically me dumping my brain out and talking through what could actually make WWE feel hot again instead of just “fine.”

I’m talking Roman Reigns running back the Bloodline story, but in a way that doesn’t feel like we’re hitting repeat for the fifth time. I get into Cody Rhodes possibly turning heel, and what that looks like if Triple H is quietly backing him the whole time. Not a cartoon heel turn, but one of those slow, uncomfortable ones where you don’t even realize it’s happening until it already did.

I also get into the women’s side heavy. Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi just straight up fighting over the title like it actually matters. Rhea Ripley not being able to get past Iyo Sky, and instead of powering through it, she snaps and turns on her. That’s the kind of stuff I miss. Real frustration. Real consequences.

There’s NXT talk too. Oba Femi running through people, including the guy who beats Brock Lesnar, because why not go all the way if you’re gonna push someone. Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes circling back to each other and fighting over that title like it’s unfinished business, because it is.

This isn’t a wishlist. It’s not fantasy booking for the sake of it. It’s just me talking about ideas that feel logical, messy, risky, and actually fun. Some of it might sound crazy. Some of it might be obvious. But it all feels more exciting than playing it safe.

If you’re tired of predictable stuff and want WWE to feel unpredictable again, this one’s for you.

So WWE kind of tricked people into thinking that Chris Jericho was going to show up on Monday Night Raw yesterday. They had Adam Pearce do a Jericho line, break the walls down. So while they never actually said he was showing, that was kind of a hint. It was only released on social media, so now people are blaming the IWC, the Internet Wrestling Community, but it's like, it's kind of WWE's fault, or at least Adam Pearce's fault. So I'm doing a Hot Takes on Monday Night Raw yesterday, also talking about Braun Breaker losing to CM Punk, which is a whole other can of worms, but should the IWC be blamed for getting their expectations too high when WWE never officially said anything, or is it WWE's fault for allowing Adam Pearce to make a hint that Chris Jericho was showing up on Netflix Raw?

Tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw was the one-year anniversary on Netflix. We had Becky Lynch, the best in the world, defeating Maxine Dupree in a really good match. Guther getting slapped by AJ because Guther is showing no respect to John Cena's legacy. Kabuki Warriors, the Kabuki Warriors lost to Rhea and Io Sky, even though they've been booked very weakly. And Lyra Valkyria lost to Liv Morgan. The big shock of the night was The Vision's Braun Breaker losing to CM Punk. I just don't understand why we would job out and make Braun Breaker lose all that momentum. But here we are, Braun Breaker has now lost his first shot at a title. And it sucks, to be quite honest. It really dampened my experience with Raw, which was overall pretty good Raw, but the ending sucked and really hurt it for me. This is my Raw review. One take, one shot, no edits.
