This week's show is called "With a Little Help from My Friends - Marty Einhorn". Marty was a person who lived every day to make the world a better place. He was to all who knew him a living Saint. In February 2021, the world lost an exceptionally beautiful person to COVID after a courageous fight with cancer. Hear Steve, expressed through the words of family and friends, share the life of Marty, whose life is the blueprint of how a truly good life should be lived.
In this episode, we continue our countdown to our 500th show with a tribute to our longtime friend Marty Einhorn. We reflect on his life, his family, his career, and the many ways he tried to make the world better. We also talk about his role in building his accounting firm and his commitment to clients, associates, and the community. We discuss his support for nonprofit work, education, the arts, medical research, and social justice, along with the recognitions he received.
Much of the episode focuses on his personal life, including his marriage to Susan, his sons Will and Jay, his granddaughter Charlotte, and his extended family. We also remember his love of music, jazz, and UVA basketball; his optimism during illness; and the kindness and mentoring he showed to others.
