He couldn’t sit through a deposition without taking ten breaks. He told staff he was being ordered to hand over money and kill himself or shadowy forces would murder his family. He placed phone calls to relatives who’d been dead for years. Employees said he was in a full psychotic break — but the only intervention was telling him to see his family doctor. The next day, Judge Mullins was dead.

This episode also uncovers the explosive context surrounding the shooting.
