In August of 2025, we reviewed the horror movies Together starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie as well as Weapons starring Julia Garner and Josh Brolin. Both were great. Together is more of a suspense film but does have some body horror elements. Weapons does have some true horror elements but also has some comedic aspects.

Alien Earth hasn't been that great in our opinion. The series didn't really capture our attention at the start and hasn't gotten better through the first four episodes. We are hopeful that it picks up in the second half.

Shogun is an awesome series that includes great characters, drama, and intrigue. Some may find the subtitles as a bit of drawback but if you can get past it you're very likely to enjoy it.

For August of 2025, we reviewed the films The Naked Gun and Caught Stealing. The Naked Gun is something most would call a silly movie. It is full of ridiculous comedy and isn't for everyone.

Caught Stealing is a great movie about a guy that ends up in a very bad situation seemingly without having done anything to deserve it. It has great action, comedy, and a bit of mystery. It is also violent and graphic. We recommend this film.

The film is the most recent in the MCU. The Fantastic Four find themselves in a tough spot when the super villain Galactus demands they give him a baby in exchange for sparing their planet.

You're bound to love the new cast and their family dynamic. The movie has great action, comedy, and a good plot.

This episode reviews F1, the new Superman, and Eddington. F1 and Superman were both highly anticipated films and they did live up. Eddington was a film many likely did not know about but turned out good.

This episode covers the John Wick spinoff, Ballerina. It also covers the most recent Jurassic Park series film, Jurrasic World: Rebirth. Both were decent movies but June certainly did not contain any best of 2025 material.
