The Bible calls us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and to stop leaning on our own limited understanding. Trusting in wealth, human strength, or our own wisdom ultimately disappoints, because all of these are finite. But God, whose word never fails, whose character never changes, and whose purposes never stop, is worthy of our complete, unwavering trust. The fruit of that trust is not the removal of difficulty but the gift of peace that surpasses understanding.
Pastor Alice’s sermon confronted a question every believer must answer honestly: Where is your trust? Not where should it be, but where is it, right now, in the middle of your real life? The sermon calls us away from the false securities of wealth, human support, and self-reliance, and back to the only anchor that holds, the Lord God, an everlasting rock.
