This week, we’re joined by Lisa Fairbairn, who shares her personal story of raising her daughter with autism and global development delay and the realities that come with navigating life, education and support as a family.
Lisa opens up about the challenges parents face when the support their children need simply isn’t available or adequately funded, the constant advocacy that comes with parenting a neurodivergent child, and the emotional impact this can have on the whole family.
We also talk about why awareness matters, what needs to change, and how we can better support neurodivergent children and their families.
Lisa is turning her own experience into action through An Evening for Every Mind, a fundraising event raising money to provide much-needed educational and wellbeing support for neurodiverse children.
