Last week was RISE week, and every time I teach RISE of the Double Duty Agent, I am reminded why this work matters so much.
Not because agents need another class.
Not because they need another checklist.
Not because they need someone telling them all the things they should be doing.
RISE matters because so many agents are trying to build a real estate business while carrying a full life - another job, family responsibilities, caregiving, commitments, and often a lot of pressure they are not saying out loud.
In this episode, I’m sharing what came up during the most recent RISE class and why so many double duty agents are not struggling because they are lazy, undisciplined, or not cut out for real estate.
They may simply need a better design.
Inside the episode, we talk about what happens when life gets full, why motivation is not enough to carry your business, and how to come back to the real estate success formula when you feel like you are spinning.
You’ll also hear why guilt is not a business plan, why comparison to full-time agents can keep you distracted, and how busywork can quietly keep you away from the conversations that actually create momentum.
If you have ever wondered, “Am I really cut out for this?” or “Why do I keep starting over?” this episode will help you slow down, see the pattern, and choose a more aligned next step.
What You’ll Learn
Why starting strong and falling off does not mean you are failing
The difference between motivation and design
How the real estate success formula creates clarity
Why guilt can drain your energy but will not build your business
How comparison pulls you out of your own lane
Why busywork may be hiding the action that actually matters
What counts as progress before you see closings
How to choose a small aligned action that feeds the formula this week
Featured Quote
“Motivation can help you start, but design is what helps you continue.”
Your Next Step
Choose one small aligned way to feed the formula this week.
That might be:
one focused conversation block
five database calls
ten personal texts
one open house
15 minutes a day of intentional follow-up
Keep it simple. Keep it aligned. And remember: you are not trying to do everything. You are building rhythm.
