Listen to Part 1 Here
What begins as a conversation about rejection sensitive dysphoria goes somewhere deeper in Part 2.
Lara and Emma continue exploring RSD, emotional sensitivity and the ways our experiences can shape how we react to rejection, criticism and relationships.
Because sometimes it isn’t simply about overthinking an unanswered message.
Sometimes the things we’ve lived through matter too.
The conversation moves into relationships and experiences of abuse, and how looking backwards with a different understanding of yourself can change the way you interpret things that happened in the past.
There are still tangents. There is still humour. Because apparently even when discussing serious things we remain completely incapable of travelling in a straight line.
CONTENT NOTE: This episode includes discussion of abuse and abusive relationships. Please listen with care.
We’re not doctors, therapists or diagnosticians. We’re two women talking honestly about our own experiences, what we’re learning and the things we’re beginning to understand differently in midlife.
