It can be difficult to understand how and where to read in the Bible - especially the Old Testament. If you sort this podcast from oldest to newest, and start with the very first podcast, together we walk through the story that God is writing, starting in Genesis. We build on that beginning to highlight the important events, as we weave together, and begin to understand, God’s bigger story of relationship and rescue. Knowing the story from the beginning is important, because the more we know about God, the more clearly we can understand ourselves. If you’ve struggled to know how to understand the Old Testament, and how it is relevant to you now, this podcast will help you to discover more truths about the Lord, and yourself, through the story God has been writing since the beginning of time. As each podcast says, we want you to know more about who God is and who you are because of Him. This podcast is for those seeking to understand/learn the Bible, for those who need encouragement, for those who want to start their day off with an uplifting word, and for those who aren’t sure about God and want to meet Him in the safety of their own space.Copyright 2026 All Rights Reserved キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 聖職・福音主義

Wow! It’s so hard to believe that we have been walking through God’s Word together for almost a year now!! We have seen God as Creator, Promise Keeper, Sustainer, El Roi, Redeemer, Savior, Rescuer. We saw him stoop down from heaven to meet men and women who were broken, rejected, in chains, rich and poor. Men and women like me and you.

During my really hard seasons of life, there were many nights I would sleep with my Bible beside me so I could just reach my hand out in the middle of the night and touch it and remember that God’s Word is with me, God Himself will never leave me and God has made promises to me I can rely on. I just needed to know He was near. And He always was and He always will be.

I pray God’s Word gives you the same sense of comfort that God is near and calling you to Himself. I pray this year you have fallen more in love with the God who gave us His personal love letter to us called the Bible.

Today I want to summarize our last year together with a few verses I've highlighted to give us an overview of where we have traveled through the Old Testament. I will post these on my website so you can find them easily there, as well. Just check it out at www.ksizemore.com and click on “resources.”

Go today and be encouraged, God IS with you.

  • Ecclesiastes 12 - The Meaning Of It All
    2024/12/02

“This is the end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:13 - 14 ESV

The cure to a meaningless life is to fear God. Emptiness can be more than filled with a God who is big enough to surround the whole earth. Yes, He can fill our deepest caverns. So the solution to vanity and sin and selfishness is to fear God.

Live your life with one conclusion – there is no purpose apart from God.

You will never be whole or full, you will never have a meaningful life full of peace, apart from God. We are designed by God to live in relationship with our Creator and everything is meaningless that fades away. Only what lasts is what matters.

Are you living in purpose, realizing your whole fullness? Are you finding true joy and fulfillment in your daily work? If you’re asking, what’s the point, I pray you find your purpose.

Let me know how I can pray for you as you journey to finding your true purpose. I would love to join you on that journey! You can connect with me on social media or through my website, ksizemore.com.

  • 2 Chronicles 6 - A House to Hold Heaven
    2024/11/25

“But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built!” 2 Chronicles 6:18 (ESV)

After almost a year of working through the Old Testament together, one of my favorite things about the Lord is how very present He is. He didn’t create the world and people and then leave them, but He is actively involved, still creating, still remaining close, still dwelling among His people. Not only does God want to dwell WITH us, but He wants to dwell IN us. We are the very tabernacle of the Holy God. Are you building a home worthy for the Lord to live in?

Let me know how God spoke to you through this episode! Follow me on social media, or connect with me through my webpage, www.ksizemore.com. I would love to hear how God is working in your life! I would also like to know how I can pray for you!
