In this bonus reflection, we examine what we really mean when we say “Spirit-led.” Is spiritual vitality the same as spontaneity? Is structure inherently unspiritual?
Looking to Scripture and the witness of the early church, we consider how certain instincts—however sincere—can begin to separate spiritual experience from the visible, ordered life of the Church. The early Christians had to confront similar patterns.
This episode argues that the Holy Spirit does not operate in tension with Scripture, leadership, or church structure, but through them. A healthy, biblical vision of the Church holds together Word and Spirit, vitality and order, freedom and faithfulness.
