25 | Waiting on God’s Timing When Your Prayers Feel Delayed (Genesis 21:1–7)
Have you ever felt like you heard from God clearly… but the change you prayed for still hasn’t happened?
In this episode, we’re talking about waiting on God’s timing, trusting Him when your prayers feel delayed, and holding onto faith when life isn’t changing as quickly as you hoped. Through the story of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 21:1–7, we explore what it looks like to believe God’s promises even after long seasons of waiting.
I’m sharing our personal story of leaving Iowa after a painful job situation, praying for direction, sensing God leading us to Vermont, and then waiting nearly three years for the door to open. Even after the move, our first year was filled with health struggles, financial stress, car troubles, and emotional exhaustion — yet God was still working behind the scenes.
If you’re:
• Waiting on God to answer a prayer
• Feeling stuck in a hard season
• Wondering why God’s timing feels slow
• Trusting God but struggling with discouragement
This episode will encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, stay surrendered to God’s will, and remember that delayed change does not mean denied promises.
God’s timing is never rushed — but it is always faithful.
