Boy do we NOT want to talk to people about their biggest problem! And this prevents us from accurately talking to them about the solution! Why oh WHY are the popularity-chasers so desperate to avoid the very topic that might save people? SIN is a popular activity... but not a popular preaching topic.

Our people are starving for more of God... and we're feeding them the "Turkish Delight" of self-glorification. It infuses our "sermons" and stains our "worship". What happened to the WORSHIP in the worship service? Our "houses of worship" have become self-improvement temples where we sing about what God can do for us. It's wrong, and in so doing, we rob God of the worship He deserves.

The Congregation of God's Family (at least its public face) seems confused about whether love trumps truth. "God is Love"... but the "Spirit of Truth" is telling us what to do! What happens when these values collide? Are we missing something?
