When relationships start feeling empty or transactional, how do you get back to what really matters?
In this message rooted in Genesis 2:18, "It is not good for man to be alone", Pastor Adam Durso reminds us that isolation was never God's design. While often applied to marriage, this verse establishes a greater truth: every man and woman was created to thrive in authentic community.
This sermon challenges the way we approach marriage, friendships, church, and even ministry. When relationships are based on what someone can do for you, they eventually expire. But when rooted in grace, honesty, and shared burdens, like we see in the early church in Acts of the Apostles 2, they become life-giving and lasting.
Through a vulnerable ministry experience, Pastor Adam also addresses the pain of feeling used and the importance of having a safe circle of trusted believers before crisis hits. The church, he reminds us, should be the safest place to be fully honest about real struggles, not polished, not performative, but authentic.
If you've been feeling isolated, burned by transactional relationships, or longing for deeper connection, this message will call you back to God's design. You were not created to do life alone, and what really matters is building relationships that reflect the heart of Christ.
