Money is one of the most talked-about topics in Scripture, yet it's often the area of our lives we guard the most. This week, we launch our new series, What God Says About Your Money, by returning to the core foundation of biblical stewardship.

Starting right with your money isn't about downloading a better budgeting app or chasing financial trends; it's about shifting your mindset. When you start with the mind of God, you can begin living financially aligned with the heart of God.

• Little Things, Big Trust (Luke 16:10–11): God tests our character in the small things before entrusting us with true spiritual wealth. How you manage a dollar reflects how you handle your life.

• Be Like Zacchaeus (Luke 19:8–9 & Matthew 19:16–25): Real encounters with Jesus lead to immediate financial transformation. Unlike the rich young ruler who held tightly to his wealth, Zacchaeus experienced a change of heart that instantly unlocked radical generosity and restitution.

• Follow Your Money, Reveal Your Heart (Luke 3:7–14): Your bank statement is a spiritual dipstick. Where your money flows reveals what your heart truly values, relies on, and worships.

• God Cares About Your Heart (Mark 12:41–44): Looking at the widow’s offering, Jesus wasn't impressed by the size of the gift, but by the size of the sacrifice. God measures generosity not by what we give, but by what we keep for ourselves.

JT left us with a practical and probing exercise for the week ahead:

Sit down this week and ask God—and yourself—this question: "Where is my heart not aligned with God in my finances?"

Take an honest look at your financial life and evaluate:

• Is debt holding you back?

• Are you living above your means?

• Are you prioritizing saving and tithing, or giving God your leftovers?

• Are you genuinely generous, or do you find yourself constantly longing for more stuff?
