  • 081: Shrinking, Sparkle, and the Sacred Work of Being Seen
    2025/10/10

Today's episode is one that's been stirring in my heart for a while. We're talking about something I see in almost every client I work with and if you're listening, I'd guess it lives somewhere in you, too:

✨ The fear of being fully seen
✨ The subtle ways we shrink
✨ The quiet ache of dimming your sparkle to stay safe

Maybe you wouldn't call it that, but maybe you've felt it. That moment of hesitation before saying the bold thing… That voice that says, "Tone it down…" That feeling of being… fine, but not fully alive.

This episode is for the part of you that's so ready to stop playing small but still scared to take up space.

    We're going deep into:

    • The myth that success = aliveness

    • The ancestral roots of fear and the Witch Wound

    • The modern ways we cap our joy, magic, and radiance

    • And how to begin healing… not by pushing harder, but by creating safety in your body to be fully, wildly you.

    This isn't a mindset pep talk. It's a soul-level remembering. A nervous-system recalibration. A return to your sparkle.

💡 In this episode, we explore:
    • What "high-functioning dissatisfaction" really is (and how it hides behind your to-do list)

    • Why feeling dim doesn't mean you're broken, just disconnected from your aliveness

    • How the Witch Wound still lives in our bodies today (even if you've never heard the term)

    • The sneaky ways we self-edit and shrink- even in small, everyday moments

    • Why your nervous system resists joy and visibility (and how to gently rewire it)

    • Tangible tools to reconnect with pleasure, radiance, and your most expressed self

✨ Gentle Reminders From This Episode:
    • You're not too much : you've just been taught to be less.

    • You don't need a bigger life. You need a brighter one.

    • Your sparkle is not a threat. It's a gift.

    • You don't need to start over, you just need to start glowing again.

🎧 Listen now if you've ever thought:
    • "I should be happy… so why do I feel a little off?"

    • "I want more, but I'm scared to want too much."

    • "I used to feel so alive… where did that version of me go?"

If any of that lands, this episode is for you.

In this powerful and informative episode, we're joined by Dr. Saige Evans, Clinical Director and Pelvic Floor Therapist at Bloom Pelvic Therapy. Dr. Saige brings a deeply compassionate, trauma-informed approach to supporting people navigating vulvovaginal and pelvic pain. We unpack the connection between the pelvic floor and sexual health, bust some persistent myths, and explore how our nervous system plays a central role in both pain and pleasure.

Whether you're experiencing pelvic discomfort, want to enhance your sexual wellness, or are simply curious about how the body stores tension and trauma, this conversation offers insight, clarity, and hope.

    👩‍⚕️ Meet Our Guest:

Dr. Saige Evans is the Clinical Director and Pelvic Floor Therapist at Bloom Pelvic Therapy, supporting clients throughout the Tampa Bay area with clinic locations in South Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Lutz, Florida, as well as through virtual sessions. She emphasizes identifying root causes, promoting long-term relief, and restoring quality of life. Dr. Saige brings a unique perspective to pelvic floor therapy through her background in Sensory Integration, having completed the USC Sensory Integration Certification.
