  • As a music producer and audio engineer, I often hear people say that I care more about money than my art. But the truth is, the music industry has changed and in order to make a living as a musician, you need to have a business mindset as well as a passion for creating music.

I understand that the reason for creating music is to share something special with others, not to make money. However, in order to survive in the modern music industry, it's important to understand the business side of things. Without this knowledge, you risk being taken advantage of and having your dream of making music for a living taken away from you.

That's why I created this podcast, to help aspiring musicians navigate the industry and increase their chances of success. I will be talking to industry experts such as record executives, artist managers, and concert promoters to provide valuable insights and advice.

In the first three episodes, you'll hear from a music sync and licensing producer who can help you get your music on TV and in movies and video games, an expert from one of the best independent online music distribution services to help you get your music out there and get paid, and a PR and marketing expert who specifically works with musicians to help you build and audience and keep them coming back.

If you dream of making music your career, this podcast is for you. I want to deliver the content that matters to you, so I invite you to reach out to me with any questions, ideas or topics you want to know about. You can reach me directly by email at nick@micme.com. Thank you for listening.
