  • The Riot In Ephesus And The Business Of Idols:08/16/2026:Evening Service

A crowd packs an ancient theater, starts chanting praise to a false god, and keeps it up for two hours straight while most people can’t even explain why they’re there. That’s Acts 19 in Ephesus, and it’s one of the clearest pictures in the Bible of how fast confusion, rumor, and groupthink can turn into spiritual chaos.

We trace the story from Paul’s Spirit-led plans to travel through Macedonia, Jerusalem, and eventually Rome, to the economic spark that ignites the riot: Demetrius the silversmith. When people turn from idols, the idol industry takes a hit, and the backlash isn’t just theological, it’s financial. We talk about Artemis worship, the marketplace built around silver shrines, and why the simple gospel truth “gods made with hands are not gods” still disrupts cultures today.

From there, we slow down and ask the uncomfortable questions the text raises. Have we gotten so used to sin around us that it barely bothers us anymore? Does lostness still break our hearts, or have we learned to shrug at it? We also get practical about everyday witness at work and in public, and even about our speech and taking the Lord’s name seriously, because numbness is often a sign we need revival.

If this helped you think more clearly about spiritual warfare, mob mentality, and faithful Christian living, subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review. What part of Acts 19 feels most familiar in today’s world?

  • Saved By Faith:August 16, 2026-Morning Service

Do you have a question, submit it here.

We walk through Galatians 3:1–14 and hear Paul fight for the gospel of grace through faith when religious voices try to add extra requirements. We challenge ourselves to test our spiritual experiences against Scripture and rest our assurance in Christ’s finished work, not our performance.
    • Paul’s personal faith theme and his refusal to compromise truth
    • Why Ephesians 2:8–9 rules out salvation by works
    • Who the Judaizers are and what they demand
    • The difference between experience and theology and why it matters
    • How the Galatians received the Holy Spirit by hearing with faith
    • Why trying to be “perfected by the flesh” collapses under the law
    • Abraham’s righteousness counted by belief and the blessing for the nations
    • The curse of relying on the law and Christ becoming the curse for us
    • Two closing questions that diagnose what we trust for salvation

  • Paul’s Tentmaking Ministry And Gospel Boldness (08/02/2026-PM)
    2026/08/03

Do you have a question, submit it here.

A tired missionary walks into Corinth alone, finds a job, finds friends, and then watches God build a church right in the middle of resistance. We’re in Acts 18, tracing how Paul keeps preaching Jesus as the Christ while juggling tentmaking, facing rejection, and learning to trust God’s timing and protection.

We talk about what bivocational ministry really looks like, why opposition does not mean failure, and how Paul draws a clear line between faithful witness and forced decisions. From Crispus believing with his household to the nighttime vision that pushes Paul past fear, this chapter shows the gospel advancing through ordinary rhythms: work, conversation, hospitality, and consistent teaching.

Then the story turns public when Paul is dragged before Gallio’s tribunal. The legal threat fizzles, but the messiness remains, reminding us that God can guard His people without promising a pain-free path. We also follow Paul’s continued travels and his heart for strengthening disciples, not just making converts.

Finally, Apollos enters the scene, and Priscilla and Aquila model healthy discipleship: pull someone close, teach with humility, and send them out stronger. If you’ve ever wondered how to invite friends back into church, how to grow deeper without getting distracted by “entertainment Christianity,” or how to keep speaking when you feel pressure to stay quiet, this conversation is for you. Subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find the study.
