Kankakee County football is back, and Week 1 delivered.
Ky'ren Edmon put up four rushing touchdowns to give Bradley-Bourbonnais a 34-7 win and new head coach Joe Kubal his first. Bishop McNamara drew the toughest opener in the area against defending state champ Wilmington and made it a fight, falling 16-7 in a game decided in the trenches. Kankakee handled business on the road, 28-7, with four different players scoring.
