After last week we needed a breath. This is that breath.
This week we are talking about grace. The kind you give yourself when you realize you have been holding yourself to a standard nobody could meet. And the kind you extend to the people around you when you finally understand that they are just as human as you are.
I am sharing the moment I realized my parents were not being strict because they did not want me to live my life — they were scared because they loved me. And how becoming an adult, getting married, and thinking about having kids of my own completely changed how I see that season.
We are all living this life for the first time. Nobody has a manual. Nobody has been here before. And I think the sooner we start giving each other — and ourselves — a little more grace for that, the better all of our lives are going to feel. 💌
