Traffic M4 Motorway, Merrylands (westbound) just past the Pitt Street overpass: broken-down van. Lane 1 of 4 closed; 40 km/h speed limit. Merge early and expect minor delays. Otherwise light holiday traffic across the network. Trains T1 Western Line (Richmond branch): Buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown. Trains running Blacktown–City and Blacktown–Liverpool/Leppington on a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Additional changes 2pm–9pm: Between Blacktown and the City, and between Liverpool and Olympic Park. You may need to change at Granville — check your trip. Sydney Metro: No issues reported. Emergency services are on scene—slow down and allow extra time. Elsewhere, roads are generally flowing well for a Sunday. Trains South Coast Line: Services running to Central only (platforms 1–14). At Helensburgh and Otford, all City-bound trains depart platform 2 due to urgent signal repairs. T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra: Eastern Suburbs trains running between Central and Bondi Junction only. Cronulla branch: Buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Remaining T4 services on a changed timetable, with some extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. You may need to change at Central or Town Hall. T1 Western Line (Richmond branch): Buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown all weekend and into Monday. Weather Sunny across Sydney. In the CBD it’s 9.1°C now, heading for 20°C. Parramatta has a cool start before a sunny top in the low 20s, and Bondi is sunny around 20°C. Sunday looks much the same: clear skies with a range of 9–20. Traffic Surry Hills: a two-car crash on Liverpool St at Wentworth Ave is closing one of three westbound lanes. Emergency services are on scene—expect merging and minor delays. Otherwise, roads are generally quiet this morning. Anticipate busier spots around local markets, and from late afternoon Vivid crowds will build—avoid driving near Circular Quay, The Rocks and Barangaroo where possible and consider public transport. Trains and trackwork 6:30am–10:30am: reduced frequency (about every 30 minutes). Services operating Liverpool–Lidcombe and Homebush–City only; you may need to change. T1 Western and T2 Leppington are running between Lidcombe and the City. Richmond line: buses replace trains Richmond–Blacktown all weekend into Monday. Trains run Blacktown–City and Blacktown–Liverpool/Leppington on a changed timetable. Cronulla line: buses replace trains Cronulla–Sutherland today and Sunday. Trains run Waterfall or Sutherland–City Circle, and Central–Bondi Junction. Some services are making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. NorthConnex, Thornleigh: Northbound lane 1 closed due to a truck breakdown — slow down through the tunnel. Rozelle, Victoria Rd at Robert St: Bus breakdown southbound blocking lane 2 of 4. Abbotsbury, Cowpasture Rd approaching Elizabeth Dr: B-double breakdown; left-turn slip lane closed (left turn still available at intersection). Menangle Park, Hume Motorway northbound near Spring Farm Parkway overpass: B-double stopped on the shoulder. Allow extra time and drive with care. Trains Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Significant delays — allow up to 15 minutes extra due to urgent level crossing repairs at Cowan. Trains may dwell longer and stops can change at short notice. Traffic M4 Motorway, Greystanes (westbound past Greystanes Rd): Multi-vehicle crash affecting the breakdown lane. Emergency services on scene—slow down and allow extra time. Canley Heights: Two-car crash on Cambridge St at Ferngrove Rd. Northbound lane 1 of 2 is closed—prepare to merge and expect delays. Trains T8 Airport & South Line: Significant delays due to police activity at Panania. Trains are being held with stop/platform changes in place.
