WWE SmackDown! Kicks off with the QOTR Qualifying Match as Lyra Valkyria battles Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella defend against Fatal Influence.
Kit Wilson and The Miz run into Danhousen backstage, and Kit gets electrocuted. Sami Zayn calls out WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and slaps Cody across the face, which leads to a return slap from Rhodes. AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix defends against Axiom. Gunther tells Nick Aldis that his match against Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title will have Sami Zayn as the Special Guest Referee.
WWE US Champion Trick Williams gets confronted by Ricky Saints and Carmelo Hayes. Jacob Fatu confronts Solo Sikoa backstage, while Solo tries to recruit Royce Keys. Chelsea Green and WWE Women’s US Champion Tiffany Stratton team up against Michin and B-Fab. Afterwards, Jade Cargill lays out Stratton with a Jaded. And in the main event, we see a KOTR Qualifying Match as Jey Uso battles Finn Balor, Royce Keys, and LA Knight.
