WTAF was my childhood? Growing up in the 80s and 90s was wild, dangerous toys, questionable parenting, and “family-friendly” TV shows, movies, and songs that were anything but. Join Eric (True Consequences) and Justin (Generation Why) each week as they dig into the hilarious, traumatic, and downright unbelievable stories from their childhoods. From near-death experiences and soap-in-the-mouth punishments to singing wildly inappropriate lyrics as a child, this podcast asks the question we’re all thinking: What the actual f* was my childhood?** If you love nostalgia with a side of dark humor, buckle up. It’s story time, and it’s a miracle we survived to tell it.Copyright Eric Carter-Landin アート 社会科学

  • Sextalk with mom and other misadventures

Did you ever have that “talk” with your mom or dad? You know the one. Well, we never actually had the talk in my house. Instead, we had incident that forced uncomfortable conversations and led to outcomes that were equal parts hilarious and painfully cringy. Looking back, I’m not sure if those moments made things better or worse, but they definitely made them memorable. And honestly, I think those ridiculous exchanges taught me more than any formal sit-down ever could. Funny how the most embarrassing situations end up becoming the stories you tell for the rest of your life.

  • WTAF was "Dating?"
    2025/11/10
On this episode Justin and Eric talk about "dating" you'll understand the quotes once you listen because it was really just a big disaster from our teen years. Both stories involve lots of alchol, a little dancing, some vomit and... it goes down hill from there. Mild trigger warning, Justin's story is about him at age 13 and a statutory situation he was a victim of but we don't go into details.
Please leave us your feedback, rate and review and tell us how much you love the fact that your intro to dating was hopefully better than ours.
