  • Joint Accoun and Marriage/relationship.
    2021/09/24
Okay!!! so please kindly pardon my very questionable type of laughter in this episode.(conclusion of episode 2). It was a lot fun talking to both of my guests Lola Ajayi and Niyi Kayode. While Lola said joint account wasn't a complete no no, she spoke about her own personal experiences and why she might not be in a hurry to get one soon. Niyi was of the opinion that joint account was certainly not a good idea and stated his reasons as to why he thought so. Joint account and marriage/relationship is the topic. our guests answered the though question we had in the 1st part of this episode money and love do they mix? what's your opinion? join the chat on our facebook page wrtalks. we also found ourselves talking about other things and even hinted future topics like -: successful women and the incorrect notion that they didn't earn their success by working hard. Women empowerment. i'm of the opinion that we as women are doing amazingly well in all fronts this days but in some parts of the world women still need a voice, women should be allowed to work or set up businesses as they please. marriage isn't captivity. to be submissive is not to be foolish know this and know peace. Remember, be kind in all your dealings and let's keep on loving...💖💖 If you haven't already joined the wrtalks family on facebook, instagram and twitter, please kindly do so you don't miss a thing. tune in to wrtalks with dee through links below. https://radiopublic.com/wr-talks-by-dee-8gbog1 https://open.spotify.com/show/62tosc6bdf9ojbgnbwwia5 https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=ahr0chm6ly9hbmnob3iuzm0vcy8yzwrmmtm0oc9wb2rjyxn0l3jzcw== https://anchor.fm/s/2edf1348/podcast/rss

  • Joint account, Money and Marriage.
    2021/09/11
Joint Account and Marriage/ Relationship. Group A says, if you trust a person enough to agree spending the rest of your life with them, then you should trust them enough to have a joint account and be able to manage your finances as one body! Group B says, agreeing to spend the rest of your life with someone doesn't necessarily mean you can trust them with your money. Money and love should be kept separate! Group C says, having the best of both worlds is the best option. Both parties should have personal accounts for personal expenses and have a joint account for household expenses! There are pros and cons to having a joint account with your spouse. The pros-: * Being able to keep tabs on each other's spending means, their will be no surprises. * That level of trust could make a happier marriage/relationship. *In the case of death, the surviving spouse would have immediate access to the account without the need for a will. The cons-: * Loss of independence. * Entering into joint account with unequal account balance can be an issue. *Messy break-up or divorce. I will be talking about the importance of discussing your finances just before you get married or commit to a serious relationship. WHAT DO YOU THINK? I would like to hear what works for you and your spouse. Let's start this conversation......!! Remember be kind and let's keep on loving....

  • Grief- how to manage it, how to heal and it's possible effect on our mental health.
    2021/08/20
Welcome to the very first episode of the wr talk podcast. I really did think about starting with something subtle or fun but after experiencing grief first-hand late last year in December when I lost my superwoman (mum) and seeing a couple of my very dear friends experience loss it became a preferred topic for me to start with. When I lost my mum, I felt pains that I had never felt before, Labour suddenly felt like a walk in the park compared to what I felt. I felt betrayed, disappointed, angry, even ashamed I just could not comprehend why that had to happen . I had and still have the most amazing people around me both family and friends turned family who have made the journey a lot easier but am i over it? The answer is NO i'm still healing, i'm working on myself as well as rebuilding my faith as mum would have wanted. Grief also known as Mourning and Bereavement is a natural response to loss. I will describe it as the feeling of INTENSE sorrow caused by the death of a loved one with whom a bond had been formed when they were alive. Grief can be complicated and could make a person wonder if the pain they feel will ever end. One starts to feel mixed emotions such as disappointment, anger, confusion and sadness but is their light at the end of the tunnel? On this two-part episode we will be discussing - * Faith and grief. *Grieving for a loved one who is still alive. *The five stages of grief. *Grief management and treatments. *How to keep your loved ones alive forever even after losing them to death. Please join us next week Friday 9:30pm(GMT) for the concluding part when we would be talking to our very first guest who would be educating us more about grief and its possible effect on our mental health. Let’s connect @ Wr_talks on Instagram. We are waiting to know what your views are about this topic. Remember, be kind and let’s keep loving!!
