    2026/05/04

    Send us Fan Mail

When a client walks into your office and seems confused, overwhelmed, or unable to make decisions, it’s easy to see the behaviour and miss what’s underneath it.

In many family law cases, what looks like indecision or emotional instability is actually the result of coercive control.

In this episode, I unpack what coercive control really is, how it presents in your clients, and why understanding it will completely change the way you work with certain divorce cases.

Because this isn’t just about legal process.

It’s about recognising the psychological impact your client is carrying.

    IN THIS EPISODE, I COVER:

    • What coercive control in relationships actually looks like
    • Why coercive control is often missed in family law cases
    • How coercive control impacts decision-making and behaviour
    • Why your client may seem emotional, inconsistent, or “difficult”
    • The link between coercive control and divorce complexity
    • How some ex-partners use control through legal processes
    • Why clients struggle with clarity, confidence, and communication
    • What not to do when working with clients affected by coercive control
    • What actually helps clients feel safe enough to make decisions
    • How understanding coercive control makes your job easier as a family lawyer

    WHO THIS EPISODE IS FOR

    This episode is for:

    • Family lawyers working with complex divorce cases
    • Solicitors supporting clients in high-conflict separations
    • Legal professionals noticing clients who struggle to decide or communicate
    • Anyone working with women leaving emotionally abusive or controlling relationships

  • I Look Fine, But I’m Not , The Hidden Burnout of High-Functioning Women Living in Survival Mode
    2026/02/18

    Send us Fan Mail

Most people are okay with their pain because it’s familiar.

In this episode of Real Talk, Richard and I unpack what really sits underneath“I’m fine.”

We talk about the gap between coping and actually living, how many high-functioning people build lives that look successful on the outside while quietly running on survival mode underneath.

    Here’s what happens:

    • We tolerate
    • We normalise
    • We distract
    • We hide
    • We ignore
    • We keep going

    Until one day… we can’t.

That sudden anxiety at the supermarket.
The tears that come out of nowhere.
The burnout that hits behind closed doors.
The moment you realise you’ve been lying to yourself for a very long time.

    We also discuss:

    • Why most people don’t ask for help until things become unbearable
    • The ways we cover up pain to keep functioning
    • Emotional isolation created by “tough love” conditioning
    • Financial anxiety and health neglect that builds in silence
    • Self-doubt that hides behind capability
    • What happens when your body forces you to stop
    • Why time doesn’t actually heal what hasn’t been processed
    • And how simply being seen can begin to shift everything

This is not about fixing yourself.

It’s about recognising when coping has quietly replaced living, and choosing something different.

If you’re tired of saying “I’m fine” when you’re really not, this conversation is for you.

  • Empty Nest Identity Crisis: Why You Feel Lost After Your Kids Leave
    2025/11/30

    Send us Fan Mail

    You spent years being “Mum”.

Caring, organising, supporting, worrying, and holding everything together.

So when your kids grow up and leave home, something unexpected can happen.
The house gets quieter… and inside, you feel lost.

    Not sad exactly.
    Not depressed.
Just unsure of who you are now, and what your life is meant to look like next.

In this episode, we talk about the empty nest identity crisis , the part no one really prepares you for.

This isn’t just about missing your children.
It’s about what happens when a role you’ve lived inside for decades quietly ends.

If you’ve ever found yourself asking:

    • Who am I now my kids don’t need me in the same way?
    • Why do I feel empty when I thought I’d feel free?
    • Why does this feel bigger than “just an empty house”?

You’re not alone, and nothing has gone wrong.

In this episode, I gently walk you through:

    • Why feeling lost after your kids leave is a completely normal identity shift
    • How unconscious patterns, roles, and expectations shaped who you became
    • Why this stage of life can stir grief, confusion, and even guilt
    • A simple 3-step reset to help you reconnect with yourself again

We also talk about how to create new purpose and direction, without pressure or overwhelm.

    This includes:

    • Exploring hobbies and interests you may have put aside
    • Creating new goals that are actually about you
    • Volunteering or contributing in ways that feel meaningful
    • Strengthening friendships, partnerships, and social connections
    • Knowing when to reach out for support, whether through trusted friends, groups, or professional guidance

This isn’t about reinventing yourself overnight.
And it’s not about filling your time just to stay busy.

It’s about remembering who you are beneath the roles you’ve played.

If you’re in the empty nest phase and quietly wondering “what now?”, this episode will help you feel seen, grounded, and reminded that this is not the end of your purpose , it’s the beginning of a new chapter.

  • Breaking Old Patterns: Recognising Triggers and Rewriting Your Emotional History
    2025/10/06

    Send us Fan Mail

Welcome back to WOW Love Light Inspire, the podcast where we explore healing, growth, and emotional freedom after life’s most challenging experiences—including narcissistic relationships, divorce, and family dynamics.

In this episode, titled “Breaking Old Patterns: Recognising Triggers and Rewriting Your Emotional History,” I’m joined by Richard Morden as we dive deep into triggers—those emotional sparks that seem to hit out of nowhere, keeping us stuck in familiar, often painful patterns. We explore how triggers act as “hidden mirrors,” reflecting patterns inherited from our families, past experiences, and even generational behaviours.

    Together, we discuss:

    • How childhood experiences and family dynamics shape reactions, communication, and self-esteem in adulthood
    • The subtle “micro-patterns” that influence relationships, self-worth, and emotional wellbeing
    • Why familiar pain or chaos can feel comfortable, keeping us trapped in repetitive cycles
    • How media, TV, and cultural norms shape perceptions of love, gender roles, and relationships
    • Why healthy, stable partners can feel “boring” compared to familiar emotional intensity
    • How emotional chemistry and nervous system activation influence who we are drawn to

Richard and I also share practical ways to recognise, process, and release triggers, helping you break free from destructive cycles without being stuck in guilt, shame, or past trauma. From self-awareness to accountability, this episode gives insights into stepping into conscious choice, emotional freedom, and empowered living.

For ongoing guidance and support, you can join my Skool community, The Change Makers. In this group, you’ll connect with like-minded people, share experiences, ask questions, and get answers from both me and other members committed to breaking old patterns, healing deeply, and creating a life that truly fits.

Triggers aren’t obstacles—they’re opportunities to uncover hidden patterns, reclaim your power, and transform your life from the inside out.

This conversation is about learning how to shift those stuck places by breaking old patterns and teaching your mind and body a new way forward.

    • why familiar emotions like fear, guilt and worry can hold you back without you even realising it
    • how unconscious thoughts play on autopilot, and how to become aware of them so you can choose differently
    • the science made simple, how your brain rewires itself, why your body clings to old emotions, and how strong feelings shape your memories
    • why your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between vividly imagined events and reality, and how you can use that to your advantage

  • Narcissistic Abuse Fallout: The Damage You Didn’t See Coming
    2025/09/08

    Send us Fan Mail

Even 15 years after escaping an emotionally and sexually abusive relationship, I woke up in the middle of the night reliving it all over again. In this episode, Richard and I dive into the raw reality of trauma resurfacing, when the past sneaks into your present and takes your breath away. This is the real, raw side of recovery we don’t talk about enough.

I share with Richard what happened after I woke up reliving my past, the emotional and sexual abuse that shaped me, and how I handled it through journaling, visualisation, affirmations, and self-compassion. We talk about how healing isn’t a straight line, and how sometimes just accepting what comes up is the most powerful thing we can do.

This episode is a reminder that healing doesn’t mean forgetting, it means being kind to yourself when the pain returns. I also speak to why this work is so close to my heart, and why I continue to support others walking the same difficult road.

    We unpack:

    • Why trauma resurfaces even when you feel “healed”
    • How emotional flashbacks are your body’s way of asking for care, not punishment
    • What it means to hold space for your own healing
    • The difference between remembering and re-traumatising
    • How acceptance and choice are core to every step of healing

🎧 If you’ve ever thought, “Why am I still struggling with this?”, this one’s for you.
