  • Ep 4. How green is Warwickshire?
    2025/10/02

Warwickshire has over 10,000km of hedgerow - that’s almost the distance, as the crow flies, from London to Tokyo!

This insight, and many more, come from a new State of Habitats report for Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull.

In this episode Bob joins Ian Jelley, the Trust's Director of Landscape Recovery, to discuss nature insights from the report created by the Trust and local authorities.

The team used 25 years of data to create a ground-breaking overview of the land across our county; the types of habitats, their condition, and how they’ve changed since 2013.

The new report will help us plan conservation efforts across the whole county. By thinking bigger we can focus our resources, help our most at-risk habitats, and track how land is changing over time.

Listen to learn more about Warwickshire’s most-threatened habitats, and how much progress has been made towards our 30by30 target.
